21977 visitas The first edition of Miss and Mister Erasmus UBI took place last week, on Wednesday, 25 of October 2011, in a local disco. The winners are the Romanian girl Elena Cazacu and the Spanish boy Alejandro Nieto. When asked what she thinks about the traditions of UBI, Miss Erasmus said: "they are different from what happens in Romania or Denmark, where I study, but I really like them and also the latada and the bapthism traditions. Covilha is a great experience for me”. Miss Erasmus, Elena, is not at her first Miss contest, but it is the first that she wins. Before that, she has been in fashion shows. Mister Erasmus 2011, Alejandro Nieo Royo, from Spain, said that was the first contest of this kind that he win. "It was very funny to be there with all my friends and people from other countries. It was more than a competition, it was an Erasmus party”, said Alejandro. The organizers of this event, including the former Erasmus student from Covilha, Bruno Rosa, said that the main goal of their action was to include the foreign students in the spirit of latada and to make them know the traditions of the place where they came for a semester or a year. The Spanish, Polish and Romanians compet for winning the big title, respecting the covilhanense traditions - only those who respected the dress code could participate at the contest. The girls were dressed in Roman costumes and the boys as babies. |
