For Christmas, Romanians prepare traditional deserts. ‘Cozonac’ is a sweet rolled cake, made of sugary dough, filled with nuts, cacao or poppy. Pies made with sweet cow cheese or ewe’s milk rich and salty cheese are also specific for the winter holidays. For desert, people also eat a kind of mini croissants, candied or preserved fruits and butter biscuits in forms of angels, Christmas trees, Santa Claus, stars or clovers, covered in chocolate and decorated with multicoloured bonbon's.
