Erasmus students have the chance to see how Christmas is in Portugal.

Erasmus students will have a Portuguese Christmas dinner

The next Thursday will be a opportunity for foreign students from UBI to know the Chritstmas Portuguese tradition. For all the Erasmus students the university will organize a special dinner in Cantina Melo e Castro.

On the last Thursday before Christmas holiday, on 14th of December, the Erasmus students from UBI will participate on a special dinner organized by the university. Almost 40 students already confirmed their presence to the event that will take place in Cantina Melo e Castro, at 19.30.
Universidade da Beira Interior will be represented at this dinner by João Malaca Casteleiro, coordinating of the Portuguese Course for Foreign Students, vice-rector Luis Carlos Carrilho Gonçalves, Sofia Correia Lemos, responsible for the Office of International Programs and Relations, and Ana Rita Carrilho, the professor of the Portuguese Course for Erasmus students.
Also, at the dinner will take part some representants of the International Erasmus Support (IES), a group that has the aim of helping the Erasmus students during their stage in Portugal.
This dinner is an opportunity for foreign student from UBI to know the Christmas traditions from Portugal and to taste the food prepared for this occasion.
At UBI, in this first semester of the academic year 2006-2007, are almost 100 foreign Erasmus students. They come from different part of Europe: Romania, France, Poland, Belgium, Slovenia, Spain.
