UBI will receive EILC students at the end of January

EILC winter courses will take place for the first time at UBI

Students from different parts of Europe will come at UBI at the end of January for an Erasmus Intensive Language Courses (EILC). They will be the pioneers that take this kind of courses in Covilhã in the winter period.

From 29 January to 23 February, Universidade da Beira Interior will organize  its first edition of winter Erasmus Intensive Language Courses. A number of 30 students will participate in this one month course of Portuguese. According to Sofia Correia Lemos, responsible for the Office of International Programs and Relations, they come from different countries of Europe.
At the starting of the classes, the students will be divided in two groups of 15 persons, corresponding to the beginner and advanced levels.
Until now, the EILC courses from UBI were organized only in the period of August – September. The aim of the course is to give the foreign students an opportunity to get familiar with the Portuguese language, culture and society. It includes 100 hours of classes in groups and is complemented with outdoor activities like guided tour around Covilhã, visit to the Wool Museum and to the mountain range Serra da Estrela.
